A Salt Lake gang member has been charged with stabbing two people in Salt Lake City earlier this year.
The 18-year-old was one of three people who police say were "maddogging" members of a rival gang, circling them in a car several times Feb. 1, according to charges filed Thursday in 3rd District Court.
The three men got out of the car and chased two victims to the top of a stairwell of an apartment at 325 N. 700 West and the 18-year-old suspect stabbed two people, according to the charges.
Both victims underwent surgery and were hospitalized for at least four days.
The man has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, both second-degree felonies.
