Regarding the teenage pregnancy pact: Immaturity and selfishness are no-brainers here. Is there any advantage for teenage pregnancy? What about the babies?

When unwed girls "keep the baby," they keep the baby from married parents with a stable, secure home. They keep the baby on welfare, dependent on grandparents for a home and support, or in day care.

By not placing their babies for adoption, they keep themselves from experiencing the profound grief process involved. This is the reason most unwed mothers keep their babies. They refuse to endure grief to give their babies the full lives they deserve.
