Although it is troubling that the 2007 graduation rate for Hispanics was 72 percent in comparison to a 90 percent Caucasian graduation rate, let's not forget to celebrate the 72 percent who did graduate. Many achieved this milestone in their lives in spite of obstacles that seemed insurmountable. Also, it seems that a logical next step would be for a study to be conducted of these Hispanic graduates to find the common variables that contributed to their success. The results of this study could be extremely helpful in knowing how to intentionally make a difference in the future for the 28 percent of Hispanics who aren't graduating.
