According to the Central Hockey League, the Oklahoma City Blazers have signed West Valley City native and former Utah Grizzlies (ECHL) forward D.J. Jelitto for a second season.
Last season, Jelitto scored 41 points in 59 games, and his 25 goals tied him for the team lead. He had a team-leading 11 power-play goals.
"D.J. was a pleasant surprise on our roster last season," said Doug Sauter in a CHL news release. "We were able to snatch him from the ECHL, and he ended up leading our team in goals.
"He is a big player who is big on his skates with a powerful stride. He knows how to use his size to his advantage, but I'd like to see him use his size even more. He has the potential to be an all star as well as a prototypical power forward in this league."
