Ninety-one percent of Utah households are aware of the upcoming February TV broadcasting switch from analog to digital, according to a new National Association of Broadcasters poll.

The poll results, released Tuesday, showed that national consumer awareness was "nearly universal at 90 percent," the association said.

The survey showed that 28 percent of Utah households correctly stated the date of the transition, which is Feb. 17, and 69 percent of households recalled seeing digital TV messages on TV. The poll was conducted March 29 through May 23.
