MISSOULA, Mont. — An Ogden couple were killed when they lost control of their motorcycle and slid into oncoming traffic Monday.

Vernon and Linda Stanley, 45 and 54, were traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 12 on their way to Washington state to visit family, said Montana Highway Patrol Sgt. Shane Grimes.

The motorcycle was pulling a small cargo trailer, and the couple lost control of the bike as they entered a curve near Lolo Pass, Grimes said. They slid into the eastbound lane, where they were struck by a small pickup and killed.
