LOGAN (AP) — The Logan Library is more popular than ever.

More items were checked out last week than any other time in the library's history. The week also saw a single-day record set June 2. On that day, 5,060 items were checked out. Over the course of the six-day week, more than 20,000 books, videos, DVDs and other items were checked out.

Library officials say a summer reading program probably helped set the record. More than 1,400 kids are registered in the program.

In May, the highest daily circulation was 4,306, while the average daily circulation was 2,624.
