Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff is recovering from home after his latest round of surgeries on a leg he badly injured in a motorcyle accident.

Shurtleff was released from the hospital late Monday and will recover at home, spokesman Scott Troxel said Tuesday. The attorney general developed a staph infection in his leg, but it is not an antibiotic resistant strain. He will now spend the next six weeks on an IV drip.

Shurtleff severely injured his leg in a motorcycle crash last year. He has undergone seven surgeries for injuries to his leg and shoulder.
