My Girlfriend's Kitchen meal-assembly stores have been sold to an Atlanta-based company, Dinner A'fare. The Layton store at 918 W. Heritage Park Blvd. will close at the end of the month and is offering its June menu of meals until June 28. Gift certificates won't be accepted after that date (801-728-3900).

Carl's Jr. restaurants have launched a Prime Rib Six Dollar Burger. It's a charbroiled beef patty topped with thinly sliced prime rib, melted Swiss cheese, grilled onions and horseradish sauce. Suggested price is $5.69.

The Grand America is hosting Summer Saturdays, 6-10 p.m., on the Garden Cafe's outdoor patio through the end of summer. The buffet menu includes grilled lamb, ribs, rib-eye steak, make-your-own tacos, crab legs, sushi, shrimp, a salad bar and a dessert bar, for $44. Sun & Moon Cafe in Emigration Canyon of hosting a "Dinner and Blues Night" with Todd Wolfe, former guitarist for Sheryl Crow, Thursday, 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $16 per person, and dinner is ordered separately at menu prices. Reservations are required (583-8331).

The Utah Arts Festival, Thursday-Sunday at Library Square, will host a gourmet tapas booth called Epicuriosity from 4-9 p.m. The menu served over the course of the festival includes diver scallops wrapped in apple wood-smoked bacon, Black Angus tenderloin of beef, breast of chicken Oscar, grilled portobello, shrimp scampi, seared ahi tuna and ginger-marinated pork tenderloin. Each item is $7. Another new food vendor this year is Great Basin Barbecue.
