I have known Orson Scott Card since we were teenagers and have always liked him. He is a good writer and a fine fellow. However, I agree with Bruce T. Forbes (Readers' Forum, June 20). Card's recent article was a tantrum. His examples ignored the difference between acknowledging the existence of evil things and encouraging the use of evil things. The distinction is important and explains why Mormons might disapprove of a Mormon actor appearing in a beer commercial.
