The Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District placed third this month for best tasting water drawn from a well in a national taste test contest.

The district competed against other water districts from Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, New York, Michigan and nine other states at the American Water Works Association annual conference in Georgia. First place in the overall competition went to a Kentucky water company.

The Jordan Valley Water district won first place last year at a local competition sponsored by the AWWA for best tasting ground water, surface water and overall quality.
