Having read the article "Obama: No public campaign cash" and the inference by a Brigham Young University survey that the American people won't care about this issue, I see two parts. While most Americans will likely ignore Mr. Obama's method of raising campaign funds, I believe that a secondary part of this issue will haunt him: his breaking his promise.

His slogan is: "Change we can believe in." If he breaks his promise, he will signal that slick political moves haven't shifted one iota. That would be disheartening and shouldn't be forgotten or forgiven.
