SANDY — A 38-year-old Taylorsville man died early Saturday morning following an altercation with a bouncer outside Club Allure.

Sandy Police Lt. John Eining said James Masden was asked to leave the club after a dispute resulting in an altercation with his girlfriend at about 12:38 a.m. Bouncers forced Masden outside the club. He then made several attempts to re-enter the club and then hit a bouncer. According to Eining, the bouncer "took him to the ground," without hitting or fighting with Masden.

Masden then went into full arrest and was taken to Alta View Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are continuing to investigate.
