CLEARFIELD — Police say a family fight here led to the stabbing of a 40-year-old man near an intersection Friday afternoon.

Ambrose Erebia suffered multiple stab wounds in the chest during the 4:48 p.m. altercation with another man at 300 N. 400 West and was admitted to McKay-Dee Hospital Center, where he is expected to recover, police said.

The department said Erebia and the other man, who also is 40, have been involved in an ongoing family feud.

The man suffered a cut to his arm, and after being treated for the injury, he was booked into the Davis County Jail for investigation of felony aggravated assault.

Other charges may be pending, police said.
