CLEARFIELD — Police say a family fight led to the stabbing of a 40-year-old man near an intersection Friday afternoon.

Ambrose Erebia received multiple stab wounds in the chest during the 4:48 p.m. altercation at 300 N. 400 West and was admitted to McKay-Dee Hospital, where he is expected to recover, police said.

The department said Erebia and the suspect, who is also 40, have been involved in an ongoing family-related feud.

The suspect suffered a cut to his arm and after being treated for the injury was booked into the Davis County Jail for investigation of felony aggravated assault.

Other charges may be pending police said.
