Shane Loux tossed seven shutout innings to carry the Salt Lake Bees to a 6-4 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Friday night.
The win snaps the Bees' season-worst five-game losing streak. The Bees had to survive a late-inning scare, as they led 6-0, but Colorado Springs scored one in the eighth and three in the ninth and had the potential tying runs on base with two out.
Jason Bulger came into the game and fanned Christian Colonel to end the game and record his seventh save of the season.
Loux (9-3) allowed just three hits with three strikeouts and three walks as he became just the second pitcher in the PCL to record his ninth win. Chris Walker and Matt Brown each had two hits and one run batted in, while Dee Brown drove in the first two runs of the game with a one out double in the first inning.
