WEST JORDAN — Police here were looking Friday for a suspect in an early morning shooting.

A man was arriving home at his trailer park, 8400 South 4000 West, just after 2 a.m. when he heard a female shout, "Don't do that," said West Jordan police Sgt. Greg Butler.

The man spotted two people standing in a driveway nearby, and then saw a flash and heard a gunshot. The shot was not fired in his direction, Butler said.

But when the man called out to them, asking them what they were doing, a couple of shots were fired, this time in his direction, Butler said. One of the shots shattered his back window of his car.

The man was not injured.
