PROVO — Provo Seventh-day Adventists will dedicate the property, improvements and new building at their existing facility at 11 a.m. today in ceremonies featuring new Nevada-Utah Conference President Larry Unterseher and Helen Anderson, Provo city public information officer.

The congregation, with the help of the community, has raised $600,000 to remodel the existing facility, double the size of the parking lot and construct a 5,000-square-foot gymnasium to house youth programming and other community activities.

Unterseher will speak on the importance of youth programming, and Anderson will outline the concerns and solutions Provo is addressing regarding graffiti and vandalism. The dedication service also will include the announcement of a relationship between the church and the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County.

The church started fundraising about one year ago and will continue to raise funds until the project is completed.

Designer H. Val Killian, who has volunteered his professional services, has provided plans for the existing building that will assist the expanding congregation, including an enlarged sanctuary, additional office space, an improved baptismal font, larger kitchen and additional storage.

Call the church at 374-2978 for information about fundraising activities or youth programming.
