Your editorial "Scrap the sock monkey" is a good example of how the media make "mountains out of molehills." The enterprising couple (David and Elizabeth Lawson) came up with an idea to make money on a current national issue and created the Sock Obama Doll. Now the NAACP and a Utah black Democrat feel that the doll is racially offensive. Immediately the media jump on the makers of this doll. People, it's only a toy! From what you have explained about the marketing of the doll, it is in bad taste, but why make such a big issue of the Sock Obama?
