OGDEN — Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that wounded a man.

The shooting happened Tuesday night outside an apartment complex on the 200 block of 28th Street. Police said an SUV pulled up outside the apartments and opened fire.

"They shot five or six rounds toward the apartment," Ogden Police Lt. Scott Conley said Thursday. "It penetrated apartments 6 and 7."

Bullets narrowly missed a woman sitting in a recliner in apartment 7, police said. In apartment 6, a 19-year-old man was shot in the legs.

Police believe another man was the intended target, but he was not there.

Investigators have several suspects they are pursuing. Police said the shooting appears to be gang-related.
