PARK CITY — Police have arrested five men in connection with a sex assault involving a woman and her friend who claimed they were held captive in a local hotel.

Police declined to release many details about the investigation, but said they received a 911 call around 6 a.m. Sunday from a man who said his sister and her girlfriend were being held against their will at a hotel. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old and a 29-year-old woman waiting for them in the lobby.

"The victims confirmed that they had been held against their will for a number of hours during the night, and the younger victim reported that she had been sexually assaulted during the ordeal," Park City police Capt. Phil Kirk said in a statement Wednesday.

The five men, who range in age from 21 to 35, were booked into the Summit County Jail on investigation of sexual assault, police said.
