The Brigham City Tabernacle is seen in 1971, the year it was added to the National Register of Historical Places. Completed in 1890 after 25 years of construction, the tabernacle caught fire in February 1896, necessitating a complete rebuilding in and around the original stone walls. According to an LDS Church News article, the headline in a local paper read: "Brigham City's Splendid Tabernacle Is No More." The new tabernacle was dedicated just 13 months later, in March 1897, and today stands as a tourist attraction on Main Street in Brigham City.
