I was totally upset by Lee Benson's column of July 6. He authoritatively proclaimed that "Wall's book is lacking in heroes." I had just finished reading "Stolen Innocence" by Elissa Wall and Lisa Pulitzer. My conclusion was that there was one definite hero in the book, Elissa Wall herself. After all, it was her testimony that finally put Warren Jeffs behind bars.

Jeffs had caused untold suffering among his followers. He had put people out of their homes and misused money. The list goes on. Others have written books about their unhappy lives. It was, however, Elissa Wall's voice that was finally heard in court.
