PHILADELPHIA Matt D'Orazio threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Chris Jackson with 37 seconds left to help the Philadelphia Soul beat the Cleveland Gladiators 62-61 on Saturday night in the Arena Football League.
Cleveland pulled within one on Raymond Philyaw's 9-yard touchdown pass to Otis Amey with 5 seconds to go, but Philyaw's 2-point conversion attempt was intercepted by Eddie Moten.
D'Orazio was 25-of-39 for 283 yards and six touchdowns and also ran for two scores. Brent Holmes had 11 catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns, and Jackson finished with nine receptions for 104 yards and three scores.
DESPERADOS 51, DRAGONS 49: At Dallas, Clint Dolezel helped Dallas become the first team in Arena Football League history to have three straight 12-victory seasons, throwing five touchdown passes in the Desperados' victory.
Dolezel was 21-of-33 for 257 yards and also ran for a score, and Andrae Thurman led the Desperados (12-3) in receiving with eight catches for 88 yards and three TDs. Aaron Garcia threw five touchdown passes for the Dragons (8-7).
RAMPAGE 63, DESTROYERS 52: At Columbus, Ohio, James MacPherson threw five touchdown passes to help the Grand Rapids Rampage beat Columbus.
MacPherson was 22-of-30 for 296 yards, and Cole Magner led the Rampage (5-10) in receiving with eight catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns.
Matt Nagy threw five scoring passes for the Destroyers (3-12).
FORCE 50, RUSH 47: At Duluth, Ga., Chris Greisen threw six touchdown passes to help the Georgia Force clinch a playoff spot and the Southern Division title with a 50-47 victory over the Chicago Rush. Greisen was 25-of-39 for 263 yards and also ran for a score for the Force (10-5) in their seventh consecutive victory.
AVENGERS 51, BRIGADE 48: At Los Angeles, Timon Marshall scored on a 3-yard run with 34 seconds left to give Los Angeles a victory.
Kansas City had a chance to force overtime, but Peter Martinez's 31-yard field goal attempt sailed wide left as time expired.
Sonny Cumbie was 22-of 36 for 270 yards and four TDs for the Avengers (5-10).
Marshall had eight catches for 96 yards and a score, and LaShaun Ward added six receptions for 100 yards and a score, and Kevin Ingram has seven catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns.
Quincy Carter threw four TD passes and ran for a score for the Brigade (3-12).
