There are several activities scheduled in Salt Lake City to commemorate Flag Day on Saturday.

• The Department of Veterans Affairs service volunteers in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus will post state flags in front of the VA Hospital to commemorate Flag Day. After the ceremony, volunteers will visit and distribute flags to the patients.

• On Saturday, the Utah Freedom Memorial will host a "Ticket to Ride," a motorcycle rally designed to benefit the Utah Freedom Memorial monument.

Those interested can register at utahfreedommemorial.org or at 100 Soldiers Circle in Salt Lake City on the day of the ride. Registration fee is $25, which includes a barbecue and a snack.

Participants will ride to Miller Sports Park and will get to lap the track. There will be drawings for prizes also.

• The Fort Douglas Museum and This Is the Place Heritage Park will host activities to honor service members and their families Saturday.

Scheduled events include a patrol of the Buffalo Soldiers, a Civil War encampment, exhibits of U.S. calvary and World War I uniforms and weapons, military vehicles and more.

Admission is free to all active-duty military with I.D. and half price for their families.
