A 2-year-old boy was recovering after a near-drowning incident Tuesday afternoon in the family's West Valley swimming pool.
West Valley Fire Battalion Chief Dean Williams said responders told him that the child had not been in the pool long before being discovered by his sister who pulled the unconscious boy out of the water. A neighbor administered CPR until emergency crews arrived and the boy was airlifted to Primary Children's Medical Center.
Williams said a number of family members had been in the pool, but the toddler had jumped or fallen in without anyone noticing.
Williams said the boy is doing well and expected to make a full recovery.
