RIVERTON — A week after his car was T-boned by a speeding driver, a 46-year-old man died from his injuries.

Kevin Leitch was injured May 30 when a car driven by an 18-year-old woman on her way to school ran a stop sign at the intersection of 13800 South and 4000 West, smashing her pickup into the side of Leitch's car, said Salt Lake County sheriff's deputy Shane Manwaring.

Leitch was in critical condition when he was taken to Intermountain Medical Center, where he died last Friday, a hospital spokesman said.

Investigators said the 18-year-old driver ran a stop sign and, based on the damage to Leitch's car, appeared to be speeding. The woman received only minor injuries in the crash. No charges have been filed, Manwaring said.
