Hairspray (1:30 and 9:30 p.m., HBO): This 2007 movie musical is the most fun you can have watching TV today. (PG)
NBA Finals (7 p.m., Ch. 4): Game 3 Celtics at Lakers. It's preceded by a half-hour pregame at 6:30 p.m., but Ch. 4 isn't carrying the Jimmy Kimmel Live special at 6 p.m.
48 Hours Mystery (8 p.m., Ch. 2): Among the things I just don't get about television are shows like this newsmagazines that wallow in tawdry, real-life crime. Tonight CBS spends an hour recounting the tale of a suburban mom who disappears, and the investigation reveals that she was a high-priced call girl. Is it supposed to be entertainment? Is it supposed to informative? Is it supposed to teach viewers something (like don't become a high-priced call girl)? Or is it just an hourlong wallow in the tabloid mud?
30 Days (11 p.m., FX): Former pro football player Ray Crockett spends a month in a wheelchair.
