FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says he is slow and can't jump because of lingering effects of an ankle injury late last season.

Brady, speaking on the second day of the team's three-day minicamp, said Saturday that his offseason training program has been limited by the fact that he still cannot lift a lot of weight.

The 30-year-old Brady first injured his ankle against San Diego in the AFC championship game. He was photographed in New York wearing a protective boot two weeks before the Super Bowl, where the previously unbeaten Patriots lost 17-14 to the New York Giants.

BEARS' BENSON ARRESTED ON DUI CHARGE: Cedric Benson's rocky relationship with the Chicago Bears got murkier Saturday after the running back's arrest on a drunken driving charge in Austin, Texas, his second arrest in little more than a month.

Bears officials said they would treat the matter seriously. Benson's attorney said the former Texas star had a few drinks with dinner but didn't think he was intoxicated, and cooperated with police.

Still, attorney Sam Bassett acknowledged, "He's probably in trouble with his team for breaking curfew and having anything to drink under the circumstances." t-->
