OGDEN — Members of the Ogden City Council appear to be striking back in a power struggle at City Hall.

A majority of council members say they don't want to spend $50,000 in the next budget to keep lobbyist Rob Jolley.

Jolley had a role in a new Utah law that gives the Ogden mayor control over the Ogden Redevelopment Agency. Council members say they were intentionally kept in the dark.

Jolley has a new agreement to represent Ogden at the state Capitol. City Council members say Mayor Matthew Godfrey will have to find money in his own budget to pay the lobbyist.
