Listening to all the bombastic rhetoric of this past campaign, it would seem that both Democratic presidential candidates have "rights" confused with "privileges." It is a privilege to drive a car (and pay for the gas); it is a privilege to own a home; having health care coverage is a privilege, not a right.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton would have us believe that all those privileges have somehow become rights, supported by a socialistic form of government. Mere rhetoric does not change the privilege to a right. The guaranteed existence, proposed by the Democrats, is nothing short of neoclassic socialism.

This country was founded on risk-takers who had no guarantees that they would even survive until tomorrow. This valley would still be sagebrush if the pioneers waited for the guaranteed existence proposed by Obama/Clinton.
