AMERICAN FORK — American Fork police arrested a Pleasant Grove man for allegedly impersonating an officer.

According to an affidavit of probable cause filed in 4th District Court, the man, 21, was arrested Wednesday for investigation of aggravated assault and impersonation of a police officer.

The man confronted two juveniles in Cedar Hills with a loaded gun and forced them to lie on the ground, police say. Then he collected the juveniles' personal information while telling them he was a cop, according to the affidavit.

Once the man was finished, he ordered them to stand up and run, according to the affidavit.

The man was later arrested, booked into Utah County Jail and held on $7,500 bail.
