I have lived in Holladay almost 50 years. Like most people here, I've enjoyed it. I've seen a vibrant city go through many changes. We've seen Albertsons come and go, Safeway come and go, and we've had the Video Verns, Pardners and others. Now all that is gone. We have vacant buildings and vacant ground. Even the Cottonwood Mall is gone.
And now we are being told that maybe next year we may have a three-story development with stores, apartments and offices.
Why three stories?
We have the remains of what was once Holladay, and the future doesn't look bright. Two more small stores closed this week, and Walgreens took over the 40-year-old Holladay Pharmacy.
