TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Rainiers scored four runs in the third inning and never looked back — defeating the Salt Lake Bees 6-2 on Tuesday night to earn a split of the four-game series.

Prentice Redman broke up a scoreless game with a leadoff home run in the fourth inning off of Salt Lake starter Nick Green. The next five hitters all singled to produce two more runs and a sacrifice fly by Victor Diaz capped off the scoring to take control of the game.

Green (4-2) took the loss, as he allowed five runs on seven hits in six and one-third innings. The spoiled the shutout bid of Tacoma starter Robert Rohrbaugh (4-4) with two runs in the eighth.

Salt Lake is off today before opening a series in Colorado Springs.
