Raising the cost of UTA fares seems to be backward. They should be substantially lowered! With gas so high, people need a cheaper way to commute.

Utah is in the habit of individually driving to work, to shop, to go everywhere. New Yorkers take public transportation because it is easier and costs less money.

Our tax money would be better spent providing convenient public transportation. When UTA was formed, it was formed to be a service to the public, not as a moneymaking enterprise.

Let's fill the buses. Let's get more convenient routes. Let's have lower fares.
