As the end of the Bush presidency draws near, I ask myself: Are the United States' prospects for peace greater than before his presidency? Is the country more respected among important international powers? Is our economy stronger? Do we have greater confidence in the future? Have we retained the moral high-ground in our practices?
If so, then we are fortunate, indeed, and owe President Bush our gratitude. If not, we have lost a great deal and should not elect anyone even remotely like him.
