Scrapbooking fanatics are invited to participate in an all-night bash this evening to benefit children and adults with muscular dystrophy.
The third annual Crop for a Cure scrapbook event will start at 4 p.m. tonight and end at 10 a.m. Saturday. It's hosted by the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Utah, and the cost to participate ranges from $45 to $60.
More than 75 percent of the cost will directly benefit Utahns with muscular dystrophy. Vendors will also be on hand to sell discounted items, and some have also offered to donate proceeds to help people with the disease.
Tonight's event will be at the Red Lion Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, 161 W. 600 South. Reserve a spot by calling K-Linn Oldroyd at 652-6422 or 965-8474; Angela McBride can also take reservations at 438-0280.
Scrappers who can't stay awake all night can reserve a room at the hotel for $89. Contact Oldroyd to make a reservation.
