Contrary to what same-sex marriage advocates want everyone to believe, the absurdity of same-sex marriage is all about the obvious inapplicability of marriage to a same-sex relationship. It is as absurd as giving a driver's license to a blind person.

Sure it is unfair and, therefore, bothers a lot of people. But just as nature has dictated that blind people cannot drive, nature has likewise dictated that families come from a union of a man and a woman.

The potential to create a family is the fundamental purpose of marriage. Everything else that is being shoved onto the definition of marriage could be obtained without the marriage.
