I was disappointed with your headline "Archu-let-down" (May 22). Your unfair play on words was not only mean, but totally inaccurate. David Archuleta didn't let anyone down. His singing on the final performances brought goose bumps to many and caused all three judges to agree he had won the night. The public voted otherwise. Reason argues that 17-year-old Archuleta is too young to be swept up in the crazy pressures of being the "Idol." For his own "real" success, he needs to return home to family, school, friends and some sort of normal life. His future career in music is secure if he so chooses. Maybe the public's "stay home" vote is wiser than we think.
