A pair of West Jordan teens have been charged with trying to kill a man in a drive-by shooting earlier this month in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
Steven Ray Villiard, 19, fired at least three shots at man sitting in his car May 17, according to charges filed Tuesday in 3rd District Court. Two rounds struck the man's car and a third shot hit another vehicle, according to the charges.
Amber Janine Cramer, 19, then sped out of the parking lot, 7671 S. Campus View Drive, with Villiard in the backseat of her car, according to the charges.
Police said Villiard knew the other man in the shooting. Villiard sent text messages to mutual friends stating that he had a gun and "knows where (the victim) stays," according to the charges.
Both Villiard and Cramer have been charged with attempted murder, a second-degree felony.
