OGDEN — Ogden is planning to pump up the water pressure for homes that have had problems with it for years.

A $52 million project is scheduled to begin next month. City water utility manager Craig Frisbee says it will take care of the water pressure and low volume headaches for homes on Ogden's East Bench.

Residents there say the water pressure fluctuates often and can be so low they have to wait to take a shower or do the dishes.

Four tanks that can each store 10.2 million gallons of water, booster pumps and larger pipes are being installed.
