Wow. Another letter from our liberal in chief, actor Dennis Kostecki (Readers' Forum, May 24). Leave it to a guy who makes a living not being himself to use a movie as a basis for real life.

The use of "Pleasantville" as an example is spurious at best. A movie glorifying adultery, pre-marital sex, etc., may not have been his best choice. He also says we need to take a "fresh look" at the world we may consider decadent. So, let's do that.

California courts have just allowed gay marriage. Abortions are the law of the land. Drug use in Utah is skyrocketing. The divorce rate in the United States is more than 50 percent. Teen pregnancy is on the rise. Sex and violence is rampant in music, television and movies.

These are black and white issues and not a spectrum of colors. We need to get back to the Judeo-Christian values that made this country the greatest in the world.
