WEST VALLEY CITY — Police here were looking for three men involved in a Tuesday morning stabbing and robbery.

A 16-year-old was walking near 4100 South and 6000 West about 2:15 a.m. when a car with three men pulled up next to him and two got out, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan.

The men demanded the teen's necklace and wallet, but he refused to give it to them, McLachlan said. The two men attacked the teen and stabbed him four or five times with a small knife, he said. The victim gave up his wallet and necklace at that point, and the trio drove off.

The teen continued walking home where his parents called police. The teen was taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
