The United States men's basketball team will play an exhibition against Canada on July 25 in Las Vegas, its lone game on home soil before heading to China to prepare for the Olympics.

The State Farm USA Basketball Challenge was announced Wednesday. The Americans will practice on the campus of UNLV for the third consecutive summer before trying to regain the Olympic gold medal they last won in 2000.

The Americans will report to a weekend minicamp on June 27, with the 12-man Olympic team selected on June 30. Those players will return to Las Vegas on July 20 for training camp, culminating with the game against the Canadians at Thomas & Mack Center.

After leaving Las Vegas, the U.S. team will play four exhibitions in China against opponents still to be announced. The Olympics start Aug. 8, and the Americans play their opener against the hosts two days later.
