MILLCREEK — A fire that destroyed a Salt Lake County duplex Tuesday night was intentionally set, officials said.

The fire started in the back bedroom of a duplex near 1350 East and 4200 South, and flames caused more than $100,000 in damage, said Ben Sharer, a public information officer for the Unified Fire Authority.

One woman was inside the home, and she was treated for minor smoke inhalation. On Wednesday, Sharer said investigators believed that woman intentionally set the fire.

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday afternoon, and no information had been releasd about the woman. Sharer said charges were pending.
