FRESNO, Calif. — Brad Coon snapped a 2-2 tie in the seventh with a run scoring single and the Salt Lake Bees went on to defeat the Fresno Grizzlies 5-3 on Monday night.

Adam Pavkovich led off the seventh with a double and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Gary Patchett. Coon then punched a grounder through the left side of a pulled in infield to bring home Pavkovich with the go ahead run. The Bees added two insurance runs in the ninth on an RBI double by Patchett and a run scoring single by Larry Infante.

Shane Loux (6-3) picked up the win, as he allowed just two runs on five hits in seven innings with two strikeouts and one walk. Darren O'Day worked the final two innings and recorded his second save of the season. Pavkovich had two hits and scored twice, while Dee Brown belted a solo homer to tie the game at 2-2 in sixth. Brandon Wood also drove in a run with a first inning single, as the Bees snap a three game skid.
