MURRAY — Two men were taken to the hospital after being stabbed at a party early Sunday morning.

Around 2 a.m., a 40-year-old man was stabbed inside an apartment near 200 East and 4500 South, said Murray police officer Mike Brimhall. The man was then stabbed again by another person outside the apartment, police said.

The victim's 22-year-old brother was cut on the hand during the altercation, police said. "When they tried to leave, the other guys tired to prevent them from leaving," Brimhall said.

A 34-year-old man was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault and a juvenile was taken to a detention center, Brimhall said. Police were searching for a third person Sunday.
