Firefighters examine the wreckage of a charter bus after it flipped on its side on Interstate 40 near Ludlow, Calif., Saturday. One woman was killed, and 22 were injured. The bus was the only vehicle involved in the wreck about 115 miles southwest of Las Vegas, said San Bernardino County Fire Department spokeswoman Tracey Martinez. Witnesses said the bus drifted across lanes and into the median, officer Taj Johnson of the California Highway Patrol said. Martinez said the bus had picked up passengers in Culver City and was headed to the gambling town of Laughlin, Nev. It crashed three miles east of Ludlow. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
