An Ogden woman and two of four children riding in her car died early Friday morning after a traffic accident in Colorado. Investigators suspect drowsy driving may have been a factor.

State trooper Gilbert Mares said a car driven by Maria O. Ruiz, 26, drifted off the road, struck two posts and then a vehicle on Interstate 25 at around 5:40 a.m.

The Pueblo County coroner pronounced Ruiz dead at the scene, along with Juan M. Garcia, 8, and Joshua I. Garcia, 7, Mares said in an e-mail. Skyler E. Ruiz, 8 months, and Adali S. Garcia, 3, were transported to a hospital. Ruiz and the children were all wearing seatbelts.

The other vehicle involved rolled onto its top, but the driver only sustained "moderate" injuries, Mares said.
