Active children and people with respiratory disease living in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber and Utah counties are being advised to limit exertion or prolonged activity outside Monday because of a "red" air quality alert forecast Saturday by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality.

A yellow air action day is predicted for Sunday in each of those counties. On yellow days people are asked to limit their driving. Last month wind and blowing dust led to a red alert and there have been several days this year with either red or yellow conditions announced by the DEQ.
